Sustainable Tourism
May 24-June 18 Weekdays 8:45-11:00am
Dr. Angela Fa‘anunu is co-founder of Kaivao Farm in Pāhoehoe and a researcher and practitioner of sustainable indigenous and agricultural tourism. Participants will think beyond conventional mass tourism to consider socioeconomic and environmental sustainability, specifically around agritourism and indigenous tourism. This course covers real, practical strategies used in communities around the world. This course is online. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

Career Exploration in Management
May 24-June 18 Tuesdays 12:30-2:00pm
Helen Tien , entrepreneur and recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, introduces participants to various management-level positions in fields like retail, technology, distribution, finance, and consulting. Executive guest speakers will discuss topics including motivation, team-building, conflict resolution, and other strategies to master complex challenges and capitalize on opportunities. This course is online. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

Social Media Analytics for Business
August 23-December 17 Wednesdays 5:00-7:30pm
Dr. Sukhwa Hong , a data scientist whose research is at the cutting edge of social media analytics, provides the concepts to understand the role of Social Media Text Analytics for business decision-making. This accessible course is designed for business leaders in all industries. Participants will work with real customer data. Some familiarity with basic statistics is helpful, but not required. This course is online. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

Digital Transformation for Business
May 24-June 18 TR 0900-1230p
Helen Tien , entrepreneur and recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, provides a practical introduction to digital transformation, the process of using technology to create or modify business processes to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing marketplace. Participants will understand the benefits and difficulties of different technologies in real workplace situations. This course is online. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
