The Accounting Club

Students have formed an Accounting Club for those majoring in Accounting, or with an interest in the subject. The group participates in events designed to bring students into contact with the local professional accounting community. Watch for announcements in classes and on bulletin boards around campus or on the Accounting club website.

Delta Sigma Pi

The College of Business and Economics is home to Lambda Psi chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, America’s foremost professional fraternity for men and women. Business, Economics, and Agri-business majors are eligible to join and participate in the professional development, community service, and social activities the fraternity provides. New members are initiated each semester – watch for announcements in classes and on bulletin boards around campus or on their website.

Hawaiʻi Island Chamber of Commerce

Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce seal The Hawaiʻi Island Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1898 and has been part of the business community for 116 years. It is an organization comprised of businesses and professionals in the community who work together to make Hawaiʻi Island a better place to live and do business. Since 1984, the Chamber has been raising money to support scholarships at UH Hilo and Hawaiʻi Community College. Find out more at HICC.biz.

Hawaiʻi Small Business Development Center

The Hawai‘i Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a program of the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Hilo SBDC offers one-to-one business advice without charge and a calendar of local business events.
